Handshake 1 (HS1) began in February 2011 and continued until September 2013, with exhibitions in NZ, Australia and Germany. All is recorded via their blog, brochures and a substantial book publication. All the mentees were required to post their progress for the duration of the project. Their blog contains images, writing, sketches, maps, as well as exhibition and background information. HS1 pioneered the HS model as it is today.
